Holiday Extras history

Cathy joined the company in 1999 as group financial controller - at that time the business turned over £40m. In 2005, she was promoted to Finance Director at the same time as the MBO (turnover £100m). Cathy has held the role of Group CFO from 2008 (ye 31/3/15 forecast turnover (£220m). In January 2015 Cathy joined the UK Holiday Extras distribution executive team as the Group converges.

The last 15 years has seen many phases for Cathy at Holiday Extras: acquisitions, exponential organic growth and the development of the European business; alongside the retirement of founders Gerry & Carol Pack. Cathy has approached each phase with the same openness to learn and enjoyment when working with her talented, enthusiastic team.

Life before Holiday Extras

Cathy began her accounting career at Oxford University Press where she worked and qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in 1996. Her first role was with Grant Thornton in taxation, and she spent sometime at Critchleys in Oxford doing a similar role.

Real life

Cathy, her husband and their two boys can be found outdoors whenever they get the chance: skiing, hiking, cycling, sailing and vegetable gardening.
