Taya - New Starter - Contact Centre

[March 2007]

Taya joined the Holiday Extras team in March. She was initially recommended by a friend of the family who told her about the healthy bonuses and incentives that can be earned in the contact centre, and about how well employees are treated.

Her first impressions of the Holiday Extras building was one of modernity in country surroundings, a short journey from home. "I live in Folkestone. Not too far, but I have to get a bus!"

Taya was pretty nervous on her first day, in common with most of us on first days, but everyone made her feel welcome. She had a short wait before her training started, but not for long..

Nerves are an inevitable part of starting a new job particularly when you are dealing with telephone calls that require a very high standard of customer service and travel knowledge.

Taya says "..If anything is on my mind, it has been made very clear to me that everyone will help."

When asked if she was looking forward to starting work on the phones, she replies "Yes and No..." "Yes - because it will be good to be finally out there on my own. After a while you just want to get out and do it by yourself and learn from any mistakes." "No - in case things go horribly wrong!"

As we can see Taya has finished her initial training and is on the phones and doing really well. Well done Taya!
