We love our holidays abroad, but we also love our home comforts, says Holiday Extras®, the UK's no.1 travel add-ons supplier. In its latest online poll, Holiday Extras asked customers: 'What do you miss most when you are abroad?'
A nice cup of tea was the resounding winner among homesick Brits, picking up a massive 65.6% of the votes. Other popular choices were HP sauce with 7.4%, HobNob biscuits and Baked Beans with 6.4%, Marmite 6.1% and Branston pickle with 5.9%. Bird's Custard also enjoys some loyal support, with 2.1% missing it while away.
Mike Whiting, managing editor at Holiday Extras, remarked: "I think that our survey shows the British public's love of its traditional favourites is as strong as ever, they're simply the best. You cannot beat a nice cup of tea and a biscuit."
