"Hotel comfortable and close to north terminal Gatwick. Food extremely expensive for what it is. I spent £42 for a piece of chicken with salad with a glass of wine. My son had a kids meal." / 10

"the mercure was nice enough, but when l booked l requested a smoking room, apon arriving l didnt get one. Plus the carpets need to be replaced in the hallways as they are dangerous because they dont lay flush lots of humps and bumps." / 10

"While the room was clean, the hotel was very noisy and the room far far too hot. There was air con but it wasn't efficient enough to cool the room. The fridge also didn't work. The hotel staff were pleasant enough. I don't think I would go to this hotel again" / 10

"Everything went very well with the parking and return collection made very simple and convenient. Hotel staff were very helpful and rooms was very clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money all round adding that little 'extra' to our overall holiday." / 10

"I stayed at the Gatwick Mercure, which is an excellent hotel, the staff were helpful, the valet parking was very convenient and efficient. The transfer to the airport was frequent, even in the small hours. It was excellent value and I shall certainly stay there again." / 10

"Mercure Hotel very good value for money.Was a bit concerned when I arrived at Gatwick ,as it's name wasn't listed on the hotel list of coaches.It transpired that the hotel had changed it's name and it was the previous name on the list!Luckily I spotted Mercure,at the bottom of a few names on the windscreen of a coach that pulled in!!" / 10
