(3 star hotel)
from the airport
Park right next to the hotel, the High Street and the town
If youre planning to stay at the Ramada Crawley the night before your holiday, why not make things even easier by booking your parking with us as well? Its cost-effective to book your accommodation and parking at the same time, and incredibly convenient. You can either leave your car in the hotel car park or take it to Airparks, a secured car park three miles from the airport.
Parking at the hotel
The Ramada Crawley has an on-site car park in which you can leave your car for the duration of your holiday. This option is particularly convenient as once you arrive you wont need to get behind the wheel again until you come back.
To get to Gatwick airport, you could take the train from Crawley station, which is a five-minute walk away - the train takes just eight minutes to reach Gatwick airport train station. But we recommend booking a taxi to the airport through the hotel, which of course means you can leave at whatever time is most convenient for you. This costs just £8.50 per room.
Parking at Airparks
If you prefer, you can leave your car at Airparks, a secured car park about 10 to 15 minutes from the hotel, all the time you're away. You park in the hotel car park overnight and take your car to Airparks in the morning. Airparks provides a free 24-hour shuttle bus between the car park and both terminals, so you can get to the airport, and get back to collect your car at the end of your holiday. This has the advantage of being more secure than the hotel car park: Airparks is protected by CCTV, regular patrols, entry and exit barriers and a fence.
The Ramada Crawley, formerly The George hotel, offers a glimpse into 17th Century coaching inn history. You'll not only be connected to history, but to transport links into Gatwick. Right in the heart of Crawley, this hotel is less than four miles from the airport and just a five-minute walk from Crawley station.
Steeped in history, this hotel was once a successful and convenient coaching inn for weary travellers, dating back to 1615. Today, you'll find the same comfort and convenience during your overnight stay.
Check-in is from 14:00 so there's plenty of time to explore the historic heart of Crawley.
When you're ready to eat, you've got the length of the whole high street to choose from. The hotel doesn't have its own bar or restaurant, but you're surrounded by eateries: there's a local Chinese restaurant, a Thai restaurant and several pubs to suit whatever takes your fancy. We'd recommend the Giggling Squid just down the high street for some delicious, homemade Thai food, and the Octopvs bar for a drink to get you in the holiday mood.
There are 84 simple but tastefully decorated bedrooms with comfy beds when you're ready to hit the hay. They have all you need to make tea and coffee, a trouser press, television, telephone, hair dryer and an en-suite bathroom.
And, you can stay connected throughout the hotel with free wifi.
Pre-book the most important meal of the day. It's a delicious buffet breakfast laid out in the building next door and is served from 06:45 to 09:30 on weekdays and from 07:30 to 10:00 on weekends.
Check-out is by 11:00, and if you have some extra time to spare, you're a three-minute stroll from Crawley shopping centre for some last-minute retail therapy.
When you're ready to fly, the hotel will book your taxi to the airport. It costs £8.50 per person and takes around 15 minutes.
