Superbly priced meals
Being the fantastic value 3-star hotel it is, you won't be surprised that the Russ Hill Hotel Gatwick's two restaurants offer the same great prices and a delicious menu. If you've got a long journey ahead of you the next day, you'll want to make sure you build up your energy as much as possible. From lighter meals, to bigger mains - you'll find something to eat whatever your appetite. The hotel's restaurant also has continental and cooked breakfast available from 6.30 until 10.30am, so you don't have to leave for your flight on an empty stomach.
Ruspers Restaurant
The Ruspers Restaurant has a huge selection of dishes and prides itself on offering a superb carvery with two meats. Begin your meal with one of the extensive range of mouth watering starters. Tuck into a sun blushed tomato and mozzarella salad, smoked barbary duck on a bed of italian leaves, smoked salmon and cream cheese roulade, or a chilled tropical fruit platter. If you like the sound of the carvery, pick from two large helpings of roast meats and fill your plate with roast and new potatoes, cauliflower cheese, seasonal vegetables, carrots, swede and yorkshire puddings - all for just £9.95.
If you don't fancy the carvery, Ruspers also has a selection of classic dishes including beef, chicken and vegetarian burgers, butternut squash risotto, vegetable curry, chicken tikka masala and traditional fish and chips with mushy peas. Finish it with something sweeter and ponder over the large choice of desserts. There's raspberry and peach syllabub, triple chocolate bavarois, traditional treacle sponge, chocolate box and strawberry crush. Delicious! If you've got kids, they'll be happy too. The children's menu's got all their favourites including chicken nuggets with chips and beans, fish fingers with chips and peas, mini pizza with chips and garlic bread, or mini tomato pasta. The Ruspers Restaurant is open daily from 5pm until 10pm.
Garden Lounge Bar
If you fancy something a little more informal, the Garden Lounge Bar offers a bar food menu for a quick bite. The Garden Lounge Bar menu us available from noon until 11pm. And you can grab a range of sandwiches including coronation chicken, tuna mayonnaise, cheese and tomato and prawn cocktail - all served with salad garnish, nachos and salsa. You can also munch on baguettes with delicious fillings including ham and mustard; bacon, lettuce and tomato; prawn cocktail or coronation chicken. The hotel also has a children's sandwich menu which includes ham, ham and cheese, chicken mayonnaise, turkey and cheese and tomato.
