Start your day right

Whether you're an early riser or enjoy a lie-in, you'll be able to treat yourself to a DoubleTree breakfast anytime between 6am and 9.30am on weekdays, 7am and 11am on Saturdays and 7am and midday on Sundays. Choose from a continental selection of pastries, cereal, meats and yoghurt, or indulge your tastebuds and opt for a traditional 'Great British Breakfast', including sausages, premium cured bacon, hash browns, tomatoes and your choice of eggs. You'll even be privy to the 'breakfast of the day' (anyone for waffles or pancakes?). All accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice. If you want to treat yourself to room service for breakfast, just pop the handy door hanger menu on your door before midnight and your breakfast will be delivered to you at whatever time is convenient for you.

There is a plethora of main courses to choose, from griddled steak to fresh chicken with focaccia and rump of lamb with a pistachio crust, there’s really something for everyone - and you'll save 10% just by booking through Holiday Extras! Vegetarians are well catered for; the hand folded pumpkin tortellini with rocket and a sprinkling of parmesan is an absolute must-try. Children can be kept preoccupied with colouring sheets and crayons readily available. The desserts are simply exquisite; you can't stay at the DoubleTree without trying the hot chocolate fudge cake with vanilla assiette in a delicate chocolate cup.

Don't worry if you're after a light bite instead, as there are plenty of pastas, salads, triple decker sandwiches, wraps and paninis available.

Room service

If you fancy treating yourself to a spot of room service, you'll be spoiled for choice, with a large selection of the Brasserie menu on offer. Try the deep dish shepherd's pie with a cheese top or the herb crusted breast of chicken with dauphinoise potato, followed by sticky toffee pudding or glazed lemon tart with raspberry salsa.
