Passengers due to fly from Heathrow airport today shouldn't leave home unless their airline has confirmed their flight is leaving.

The airport reopened yesterday after being forced to close by heavy snow at the weekend, but is struggling to cope with the wintry weather.

No more than a third of flights will be leaving today and delays and cancellations are expected right up until Christmas, and possibly after that.

Hundreds of passengers have been stranded at the airport since the weekend, with terminals 1 and 3 particularly badly affected.

If you're due to fly from terminals 1 and 3 over the next couple of days, why not book a room at the Park Inn Heathrow and enjoy a comfortable start to your holiday?

The hotel is just a mile from terminals 1 and 3, so you can travel up the day before your flight, knowing that you don't have to worry about battling snow and ice to get to the airport in the morning.

The Park Inn has a restaurant, a bar and a health club with a swimming pool and a gym. All rooms have a fridge, air conditioning and free mineral water.

Prices for a room on Thursday, December 23 start from £194.

This price is correct on December 21, 2010. Prices may change. The earlier you book, the better prices and availability are likely to be.
