Rooms at the Renaissance Hotel Heathrow

Old-school elegance as hushed as a silent film

The Heathrow Renaissance has 649 rooms spread over three floors, all cosily decorated with plush bedding and traditional wooden furniture. Even though the south-facing rooms look right onto the runway itself, everything is soundproofed so you won’t hear a thing.

Rooms are all equipped with air conditioning and temperature control, satellite TV – and you can pay to watch movies too – an armchair, a desk and chair, a trouser press and tea and coffee. The ensuite bathrooms all have a bathtub and shower and plenty of soft white towels. Wifi costs £15 for a day.

Upgrade to a club room and you get access to the elegant club lounge on the third floor, which has spectacular views of the runway. It’s a quiet, comfortable place where you can relax during the day and help yourself to free food and drink: there’s a breakfast of cereal and pastries from 6am to 10am, hot and cold canapes and pre-dinner drinks from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, and desserts from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Hot and cold soft drinks are also available all day, along with free newspapers and TV - so a club room can save you money on drinks and snacks, especially if there are a few of you. You also get extra toiletries in your room, bathrobes and slippers.

The hotel has both twin and double rooms, and 11 disabled access rooms on the ground floor with wider doors and adapted bathrooms.
