Work will start shortly on a priority lane at Luton airport intended to shorten security queues.
Airport marketing director Natalie Raper explains: "Although investment has enabled us to reduce queue times for all passengers, we are aware that some passengers would value a way of guaranteeing the quickest possible progress to the security search point.
"We are therefore introducing the priority lane option and will be making a charge of £3.00 per passenger for this service. Only passengers who choose to use the priority lane will be charged."
The priority lane is one of a series of improvements currently being made at Luton at a cost of £2 million.
More than 10 million passengers pass through the airport each year.
Remember to start your trip feeling relaxed by booking a night at the Luton Ramada Hemel Hempstead.
