‘Put one in the wood’ with the locals

As there’s nowhere to quench your thirst inside the Altrincham Lodge, (excluding the bathroom sink, that is) you’d better jolly on over to the Pelican Inn to wet your whistle. The bar has all the bottled and draught beers, ciders, spirits, alcopops, wines and soft drinks that you would expect from any typical chain restaurant, and the sociable atmosphere makes this an easy-going place to relax and enjoy them in. On a rainy day, there are fruit machines, darts boards and flat screen TVs with Sky to while away the hours; there’s even wireless internet access here too.

The menu in the bar is the same as in the restaurant area, and no one will mind where you park yourself, whether you’re eating or not. This relaxed venue has a homely feel to it, like your local back at home, only here your bed is probably closer! The bar is open from 12 midday to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, but stays open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
