      "arrived ot bowden hotel,altringham, after reading some comments on website i thought what have let myself in for,the reception was pleasent and courtious we had evening meal and a drink which was reasonable the room was clean and i had no problem with taxi to and from airport and overall i was pleased with the service i got.       "Everything went as planned, thank you. We choose to use the airport car park, which againwent without a hitch. We also used the car drop off facility which was a blessing arriving back in Manchester reasonably late with along journey home ahead. All in all an excellent experiance, one which I have already recommended." 10 / 10

      "Great service, but the car park was a lot further from the hotel than expected, so this meant an early rise to catch the plane. (hoping to avoid that) Hense the overnight stay. Somewhat defeated the object really. But nevertheless...good service." 8 / 10

      "We had to park off-site, took about half an hour to get to site then had to transfer to Airport, even though our Hotel was only a couple of miles away from the Airport. We also paid for Car Valeting as an extra at the of-site parking, we arrived back to find that the valeting had only just been started and we had to stand around for half an hour before it was completed. We had to get into a car which still had wet mats on the floor and the valeting was of poor standard and obviously rushed." 5 / 10

      "the bowden hotel in manchester was an absolute disgrace, the bedroom that we were put in was covered in dampness, and the bathroom was actually falling apart the bath panel was so badly damaged with water damage that it had moss and was crumbling away. we were eventually put in another room which was brand new, this only added to my anger as i had 2 young children with me and feel should have been given this room from the start as it was sitting empty." 1 / 10

      "No nothing went smoothly. The hotel had no record of our booking. We arrived at 10pm and just wanted to check in and go to bed before a 4am start to our holiday. We then found out we had to park our car in an airport carpark half an hour away and then be transferred to the airport on a shuttle. So we had to get up at 3am instead. We booked to save time and sleep but in reality it would have been easier, less stress and hassle to stay in Cumbria at home and leave at the same time to drive straight to the airport. When we arrived at the carpark we were not booked in there either.. Ridiculously bad service." 1 / 10

      "NIGHTMARE!!!!!! We decided to park & stay as we had an early morning flight and wanted to prevent getting our 2 year old daughter up earlier than we had to, How wrong we was. We arrived at the Bowden hotel at 8pm and was given the directions to the Airparks car park, 25 mins away from the hotel and was told the airparks was minutes away from the airport. 20 minutes to be precise!!! added to that was 24 minutes sat waiting on the stationary bus for the driver to set off!! You then have a 10 min walk from where the bus drops you off to the terminal building. We was due to check in at 4am and arrived at the check in desk at 5.10am for our 6am flight despite leaving the hotel at 3am!!! the irony is that it would have only taken us 50mins to the airport from our home. never again...." 1 / 10

      "the room in the hotel was basic and what we thought was going to be a relaxing start to our holiday did not come true for us. on entering the room we were greeted by what we thought was someone drilling in the room next to us, this would have continued if my husband had not complained to the reception and discovered that the noise was actually going from the health spa as someone had left the jacuzzi on, there was also an extractor fan going on all night just outside our window which meant that we had a disturbed sleep and a poor start to our holiday. when booking this hotel it was described as only 10 mins from the airport, but was in reality 25mins to the secure car park then another 10mins from there to the airport. the high point of the stay was the meal which was lovely." 3 / 10

      "Car park facilities were fine, Hotel was like a building site. We had to walk over floorboards covered in cardboard. The whole idea was to get a good nights sleep before waking up to a shower and onward to airport for our 17 hour flight. We could not shower because there was no water. The water in the hand basin would not let us run it long enough because it would not drain away. The worst experience ever." 1 / 10

      "The hotel was being refurbished so the hotel and rooms were very tired looking. We had an early morning departure and had to take our car off site which was a 20 minute drive away and then had to allow 45 mins to get to the airport from there as the bus from the airparks only went every 30 minutes at this time in the morning" 5 / 10

      "The off site parking takes half an hour to get to, then after an variable waiting time, another 15 mins to get to the airport. The room we were given had a terrible banging noise from the heating system (even though it wasn't on). We were eventually moved but not for about an hour. So a terrible night's sleep and we still had to get up as early to get to the airport." 2 / 10

      "Resteraunt was closed on the Sunday that we were booked in. Bar meals only. Bar was crowded with no free tables. Only one member of staff serving at bar, taking meal orders and delivering meals. By the time we got a tanle to eat at, the most popular items on the menu were no longer available. No early morning breakfast was offered. But staff were as helpful as they could be and taxi service to and from airport was good." 7 / 10

      "The Hotel and parking were very good and fully met our requirements, however, I was not best pleased at wasting time and patience driving about looking for the Quality Inn, Altringham for half an hour at the busiest time of the day to find that it had changed its name to The Bowden Hotel and removed all evidence of 'Quality'. It would have been helpful if someone had let us know!" 9 / 10
