It's the most luxurious hotel at Stansted airport - and you can expect exactly the same from its restaurants. There's two to choose from, so you won't have difficulty in finding something you like. The Filini restaurant serves authentic Italian food in contemporary surroundings. The New York Grill Bar, like its name, serves delicious steaks and other meats straight off the grill. Which one will you choose?
Pastas, pizzas, calzones and salads - if Italian's your thing, you can't go wrong here. This authentic restaurant serves up mouthwatering dishes from 6pm until 10.30pm Monday to Sunday. Just a few of the things on the menu include: white bean and tuna salad, cream of potato soup with herb croutons, bruschetta with tomato and parma ham for starters. For main, you can ponder over the huge choice of dishes - there's a lemon seafood risotto, mushroom risotto, tagliatelle bolognese, a mixed leaf salad, chargrilled swordfish, rump of lamb with cannellini beans or a scrumptious pizza.
Take your pick from margherita, ortolan, four cheese or the Filini special. If you can make the space, you won't want to skip dessert. How about a selection of ice creams, a selection of sorbets, tiramisu, chocolate fondant, or a home-made tart?
New York Grill Bar
This restaurant is a little less formal compared to Filini and is open for dinner between 6pm and 10.30pm everyday. If you fancy something a little more filling, you won't leave on an empty stomach here. Start your meal with roasted butternut squash soup, southern crab cakes, caesar salad, grilled prawns or a seafood chowder. Follow on with a juicy 80z rib-eye, rump or fillet steak, grilled cajun chicken, fresh cod, baked seabass, a house burger or a mixed grill platter. Finish it off nicely with a pecan pie with chocolate chip ice cream, a baked vanilla cheesecake, chocolate brownie or a selection of cut fruits.
