East Midlands the popular holiday airport
Passenger numbers at East Midlands airport rose to almost 1.2 million in the first quarter of 2008 a rise of 15.2% compared to the same period last year.
New routes have increased the choice of destinations available to local people.
In March First Choice Holidays launched direct flights from East Midlands airport to the popular winter sun destination of Goa in India.
