Gatwick's Noise Insulation Scheme for Homes, a part of their Sustainable Development Strategy, is set to provide insulation funds for around 1,000 homeowners living near the airport.
The scheme will give residents 100% of the cost of secondary glazing, loft insulation and ventilation along with half the cost of standard or high-specification double glazed replacement windows.
Those living closest to the airport are set to benefit first, with many homeowners having already been contacted by BAA Gatwick. The scheme is open for two years and has been developed by local MPs and business partners taking in feedback from residents to help improve the initiative.
