From the 18th August customers departing from London City Airport will experience a whole new way of waiting for their flights.
London City airport has introduced a silent terminal policy in which no tannoy announcements are to be made throughout the departure lounge.
Customers are to rely on information screens in order to obtain flight and gate announcments, which will be placed throughout the lounge and in restaurants.
This new policy follows extensive research carried out at the London airport, where satisfaction levels have continued to increase with passengers describing the airport as having a relaxed environment.
