Manchester airport have recently announced a list of eight airlines that will be affected by a move to ground level check-in at terminal 1. The new check-in arrangements will take effect on Wednesday 28th May
Passengers who are due to travel on, or after, this date and who are travelling on the following airlines will need to check-in at ground level: Aer Arann, Air Berlin, Aurigny Air Services, Icelandair, Jet2.com, Olympic Airlines, Ryanair and Lufthansa/ Swiss International Airlines.
For passenger travelling to Manchester Airport by public transport, you would take the Station Link Bus to Terminal 1 and 3. Follow signs for the T1/T3 link bus, which leaves from the front entrance of the station every 10 minutes.
The first stop is outside Terminal 3, then to Terminal 1 to a bus stop outside the entrance to ground level check in.
Passengers may also wish to walk to Terminal 1 via the covered walkway. At Terminal 1, take the lift to Level 0 and then go to ground level check-in.
Another alternative would be to book the reliable meet and greet service, Airparks Gold . With this service passengers are met at their departure terminal. A driver will take your car to a secured compound for the duration of your holiday and return the car to you at your arrivals terminal when you come home from your break - It So Easy!
