Large scale roadworks on the M60 Junction 5 exit slip roads over the A5103, Princess Parkway, will affect passengers travelling to Manchester airport from Monday 7th July.
Work on strengthening the slip road bridges at the major junction is expected to take approximately nine months. Travellers heading towards the airport, the M6, M56 and Manchester city centre will be affected.
A 7.5 tonne and 2.0 metre width restriction will be imposed on the anti-clockwise exit onto Princess Parkway towards the M56. Some lane restrictions will apply on this slip road during evenings and night. The road may close completely at times during weekends.
Closures will be advertised in advance and diversion routes signposted clearly.
Passengers are advised to consider these restrictions and diversions when planning their journeys. The Highways Agency can be contacted for live traffic information on 08700 660 115 or 08457 50 40 30 for questions or comments.
There will be no weight or width restrictions on the clockwise exit slip road and it will remain as one lane.
Ensure you have no more delays by pre-booking great value Manchester Airparks Gold airport parking. This secure compound is the closest off airport car park to the terminals with transfers taking just five minutes.
