Four new flights to Mediterranean destinations from Manchester airport will start three months earlier than expected.

easyJet announced today that it is bringing forward its expansion at the airport, and will start its flights to Corfu, Athens, Bastia in Corsica and Dalaman in Turkey on May 21 instead of in August.

The UK's largest airline will also be running more flights to Alicante, Malaga, Malta, Paphos and Tenerife, so will have more aircraft based at Manchester.

UK commercial manager Carly Brear said: "This is great news for the north west.

"Our additional aircraft will mean more jobs and more visitors for the region, and customers in the north west will now be able to take advantage of even more of easyJet's low fares to summer hotspots across Europe."

Return fares for the new routes will start from £44.78, including tax.

Seats go on sale today at www.easyjet.com.

If you want to make the most of the ouzo in Corfu, leave your car in safe hands while you're away and book your Manchester airport parking with Holiday Extras.

Prices start from just £29 for eight days' parking at Airparks Manchester Handforth Dean. The car park is just four miles from the airport and transfers run every 20 minutes.
