The Captain's choice

The Heathrow Arora was originally an exclusive hotel just for airline pilots and cabin crew, but fortunately for you, the hotel has since opened up to the public. This means you get all the little inside perks the pilots enjoy; from a personal fridge to runway views in many of the rooms. Pilots, of course, need a good night’s sleep, so you’ll find triple-glazed windows blocking out all the airport noise at this Heathrow airport hotel.

Cabin crew exclusives and VIP luxury

Of course, the Arora knows that you’re here for play, not work. As such, the hotel is packed with new luxury features like a 24-hour gym, a hair and beauty salon and even a gift shop. The gym is free, use your room key card to get in, and has cardio and resistance machines as well as free weights. The beauty salon offers a variety of treatments, including manicures and spray tans, while the hotel’s experienced stylist knows just how to give you a great new look for your holiday and can even offer barber services to men. With all this, you’re sure to be absolutely ready for your holiday by the time you leave the Arora. There's even a shop with a range of air-steward-style shoes, should they take your fancy!

Cabin crew fly often enough to know where the best place to stay on-airport is and a whole host of convenient features will make sure your stay is both comfortable and packed with exclusive perks.

We recommend the Heathrow Arora for:

Cabin crew exclusives - The hotel was designed for cabin crew, so has lots of little extras you won’t get elsewhere.

VIP luxury - Since opened to the public, the hotel has put in a gym, a beauty salon and even a gift shop!

Free transfers - A free bus runs to terminals 1, 3 and 5 between 4am and midnight.

Arrival at the Heathrow Hotel

You can catch the Heathrow Hoppa bus from the hotel to the airport and back - it runs regularly during the airport's opening hours. You may need to catch a free train between terminals, depending on where you are travelling from, so leave plenty of time.

When bought in advance, tickets cost £4.50 per person one way and £8 return. They cost £5 for a single and £9 return if purchased from the driver on the day. Up to two children under 15 can travel free with a paying adult.

From Terminals 2 and 3, the Hoppa service runs every 20 minutes from 04:44 to 23:28. From Terminal 4 the service runs every 30 minutes from 04:48 to 23:18 and from Terminal 5, it runs every 30 minutes from 05:04 to 23:34.

If you're driving to the hotel, here are the directions:
From the M25:
Leave the motorway at junction 14 and follow signs for terminal 4 and cargo. At the roundabout, turn left onto the A3044 towards Longford.
At the next roundabout go straight on. At the traffic lights, turn right onto the A4 Bath Road. The hotel is about a mile down the road on the left opposite the Compass Centre, a large blue building.
From the M4:
Leave the motorway at junction 5 and follow signs for Hounslow and central London. The hotel is about two miles down the road on the left opposite the Compass Centre, a large blue building. Overnight parking at the hotel costs £12.

All went very smoothly and a decent hotel even if the check in was a little slow, but not the fault of holiday extras.

Mr Coombe (Heathrow Arora)

Everything was fine. Particularly liked the quietness of the hotel despite its proximity to the airport.

Mr Price (Heathrow Arora)

Transfer to hotel went well, bus stopped very near to hotel. Staff and facilities were good, restaurant food excellent.

Mrs Pentecost (Heathrow Arora)

Facilities great, also staff. Only niggle was the cost of a taxi to the airport - only a few miles and it cost £12 - far too expensive

Miss Brooks (Heathrow Arora)
