This hotel was appalling, they don't put the heating on until 7pm even though it was freezing and when it did come on the radiators were lukewarm. We went out to find a warm place to sit in and at the end of the night when we got back to the hotel the heating was off.Mrs Harford (Manchester Britannia Ashley)
The next morning no heating or hot water to which staff stated the boiler broke down, we should have been offered heaters but nobody seemed to give a damn.
My son and grandson were visiting from Australia and they felt the cold much more than us.
The place was totally run down, stains on carpets, glass wardrobe doors cracked, lamp shades hanging off wall lights. All in all it was totally unacceptable and couldn't wait to get out.
I went onto their website and noticed a huge amount of compaints from people that were being ignored so what does that tell you
VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY.VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.NO PROBLEM FOR STAFF TO FIND ME A ROOM WITH OPENING WINDOW. ROOM FINE AND CLEAN PLUS COMFORTABLE.Mr Balme (Manchester Britannia Ashley)
Staff very helpful. Perhaps shower could be improved, not a lot of power to it, also would be nice if they had a hairdryer in the room. All in all enjoyed our stay.Mrs Queally (Manchester Britannia Ashley)
I wasn't told the hotel ran a free taxi service too and from hotel, for the price I paid, there's no complaints.Mrs Armitage (Manchester Britannia Ashley)
It was great, we arrived at the hotel at 9am and we were allowed check in early :) Hotel is near everything :) and staff were really helpful.Miss Geiran (Manchester Britannia Ashley)

The small bar is light and airy with plenty of drinks, and a bar menu of simple hot and cold classics is available throughout the day. As the bar is open to locals and residents alike, its a sociable spot to enjoy before flying off on your holiday. The outdoor seating at the front of the hotel is reminiscent of a European cafe culture, as couples chat under parasols, soaking up the village hubbub.
Theres something unwholesome about using cliches, but, the old adage dont judge a book by its cover seems apt for the Britannia Ashley hotel. The 70s exterior hides behind it heavy, ornate wooden staircases and vast brass chandeliers, while the soft pink and cream pastoral wallpaper makes for a charming choice of decor. The small scale of this airport hotel makes it feel rather more like a visit to a countryside cottage than a run-of-the-mill airport hotel in the middle of town, and this is precisely where the charm lies. You can explore the local area, enjoy a classic British dinner in the restaurant, and get your head down in a cosy, comfortable room at night. Therell even be an all-you-can-eat Full English breakfast buffet to set you up the following morning. Whats particularly impressive, is the free wifi thats available in the public areas.
Scrimp on the price tag without scrimping on the stay
The Britannia Ashley hotel is to be found in the busy village of Hale, where youll find a wealth of boutique stores, stylish restaurants and trendy bars. Its an affluent area, home to footballers and soap-stars alike, so although you might not be splashing the cash, you could find yourself rubbing shoulders with the rich and the famous!
Its an incredibly cheap hotel thats comfortable and charming as well. A hotel of simple pleasures in fact. Everything you need for a good nights stay is there, but if you want to supplement your stay, theres a hubbub of activity on your doorstep! The small scale of the hotel means that youll enjoy a far more personal experience here, and the friendly staff will do their best to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

Children and pets welcome, the latter at an additional charge - Kids under 12 go free when sharing with adults and using existing bedding. Pets, on the other hand, will set you back a tenner each.
