Maxine - PR team

I work three days a week as a senior copywriter in the news and PR team. My job involves writing news stories, press releases, awards entries and web pages.

I've worked at numerous other companies, including large corporations in London and Manchester. I joined Holiday Extras two years ago. The company definitely has a warm, relaxed atmosphere and a family-business feel. I can see why people end up staying here for years.

My job is generally entertaining and stimulating. I enjoy seeing the results of our work in the press coverage we receive or the numbers of visitors to our pages. I like the fact that we're working in a fast-moving industry and there are lots of creative challenges. My team are great too. My first day was quite bewildering as I'd never used this type of system before and it was my first time working since having a baby a year before, but my manager was great and very supportive.
