Arrival at the Ibis Styles
You can check in at the hotel from 14:00. The easiest way to get there is to catch a train to Birmingham International station, just five minutes from the hotel. Turn right out of the station and keep going to the end of the road, then follow the path and turn right onto Bickenhill Lane. The hotel will be at the end of the road on your right, by the roundabout.
On the other hand, if you're driving:
- Leave the M42 at junction 6 and take the A45 towards the airport - it's the first exit at the roundabout if you're travelling northbound, or the third exit if you're travelling southbound.
- Take the first exit at the next roundabout towards the airport and the Elmdon trading estate.
- Keep left when the road forks and follow the it around.
- Take the third exit at the next roundabout.
- Take the first exit at the next roundabout, then the third exit at the roundabout after that.
- The hotel will be on your right.
You need to check out of the hotel by 12:00. It's a five-minute walk to Birmingham International train station. There's a free monorail that runs from there right into the terminal in just one minute, so you can go from hotel reception to airport check-in in just six minutes. Turn right out of the hotel, then take a left at the end of the road and the train station will be on your left.
If you don't have much luggage, you can walk all the way to the airport in 15 minutes, or if you have lots, the hotel will book you a taxi to the airport, which will cost you around £10.
Getting to and from Birmingham airport
When you're ready for your flight, take the 5-minute stroll from the hotel to the nearby train station, where you can catch the free monorail into the terminal. It runs from 05:15 to 02:00, and only takes a minute.
If you don't have much baggage, you can walk all the way to the airport in 15 minutes. If you have too much luggage, you can always ask the hotel to book a taxi for you at your own expense.
When you get home, just catch the monorail back to the train station and walk back to the hotel. It's all completely free.
Ibis Styles address
Very helpful, when returned to collect the car, we found the battery flat, after a 2 hour delayed flight we were very tired and cold. Your wonderful team found some battery jump leads, used their own car and got us started. The whole team helped us out and we cannot thank them enough, it was a long day with a long drive home and they were absolute stars, please pass on our gratitude for what they did for us 27.11.15 around midnightMrs Porter (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
Everything was as described, and all staff we met were lovely and helpful.Mr Harding (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
Only 2 other points to mention.
1. Bathroom was cold.
2. More staff in restaurant/bar would've made it better.
However this would not stop us booking this hotel again.
Everything was great. Holiday extras staff were very helpful and all arrangements were efficiently sorted out. Will definitely use holiday extras again - takes the strain out of holiday arrangements! Thank a,Miss Williams (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
We were given information when booking about Ibis Hotel in Birmingham Airport but when we arrived we were actually in the Ibis Styles Hotel which is a 15 minute walk to airport not 2-3 minutes as advised. Very disappointed so it will be doubtful we would book again with your company.Mr Bateman (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
Everything went very well. However we did find the directions to the Ibis Styles very confusing particularly at a busy time of the day when it is difficult to stop and have a think! I appreciate that the area around the NEC/Airport is not easy with the multitude of roundabouts but perhaps you could give this some thought! The hotel was fine and the parking was easy. We found the monorail OK but some signage from the hotel rather than some photos in the lobby would be useful.Mr Mitchell (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
