Arrival at the Ibis Styles
You can check in at the hotel from 14:00. The easiest way to get there is to catch a train to Birmingham International station, just five minutes from the hotel. Turn right out of the station and keep going to the end of the road, then follow the path and turn right onto Bickenhill Lane. The hotel will be at the end of the road on your right, by the roundabout.
On the other hand, if you're driving:
- Leave the M42 at junction 6 and take the A45 towards the airport - it's the first exit at the roundabout if you're travelling northbound, or the third exit if you're travelling southbound.
- Take the first exit at the next roundabout towards the airport and the Elmdon trading estate.
- Keep left when the road forks and follow the it around.
- Take the third exit at the next roundabout.
- Take the first exit at the next roundabout, then the third exit at the roundabout after that.
- The hotel will be on your right.
You need to check out of the hotel by 12:00. It's a five-minute walk to Birmingham International train station. There's a free monorail that runs from there right into the terminal in just one minute, so you can go from hotel reception to airport check-in in just six minutes. Turn right out of the hotel, then take a left at the end of the road and the train station will be on your left.
If you don't have much luggage, you can walk all the way to the airport in 15 minutes, or if you have lots, the hotel will book you a taxi to the airport, which will cost you around £10.
Getting to and from Birmingham airport
After you check out of the hotel, drive to Airparks, park your car, hand over your keys and then hop on a transfer bus to the airport. It runs every 25 minutes, takes 15 minutes and is included in the price.

Staff very helpful & facilities good but monorail does not run on bank holidays & we had to pay for taxi for airport transfer and therefore ended up with extra costMr Ladha (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
Excellent. Friendly. Good facilities. Easy process. The walk from the NEC to the hotel is not confidence inspiring, but, once I was there, it was excellent.Ms Hansford (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
The staff were amazing we arrived before check in but was advised we could wait in the bar whilst I room was being prepared. The got us a taxi booked for our early morning flight - I think you can walk but with a 3 year old at 2:30 in the morning that was never going to happen. The room was massive and had everything we needed. It was fantastic thanksMrs Liptrott (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
Clean, comfortable, great location. A 15 minute walk takes you to a selection of restaurants at the NEC. Equally it's a easy 15 minute walk and mono rail ride to the airport. The free breakfast ( starts at 3.30am ) and free wifi were a good addition.Mr Freshwater (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
yes everything went smoothly, bonus was continental breakfast included in the price, good value for moneyMr Mckenna (Birmingham Ramada Encore)
