Inverness airport is the main gateway for travellers to the north of Scotland. It has flights to 14 destinations in the British Isles, including Jersey, Dublin and the Orkney and Shetland Islands. Flights to Dusseldorf began this summer.
Facilities include a restaurant and bar, a coffee shop, a branch of W H Smith, a private lounge, a chapel, internet access and baby changing. Inverness was the first UK airport to win the Hospitality Assured award for customer service.
Inverness airport is about eight miles northeast of the city, just off the A96, the main road between Inverness and Aberdeen.
