If you aren't being collected from the airport you can take advantage of competitively priced public transport options - from pre-booked coaches to railway services.

• Train. Luton Airport Parkway station is a 10-minute trip on the shuttle bus from the airport terminal. A single ticket costs £2.40. Children between 5 and 15 travel half price, and under 5s go free. From the station you can reach City Thameslink, Blackfriars, Farringdon and St Pancras International. If you're heading North you can get a train to Bedford and the Midlands where you can make connections to key northern cities.

When booking your train tickets, if you choose Luton Airport (LUA) as your departure station, the shuttle bus fare to Luton Airport Parkway (LTN) will be included in your ticket.

• Bus and coach. Coach pick-up points and bus bays are located conveniently outside the terminal. Tickets can be booked in advance on the bus company websites or you can buy tickets from the Onward Travel Centre beyond the arrivals area. Buses run services to key UK locations including central London, Leicester, Oxford, Nottingham and Cambridge. Bus companies include: National Express, Stagecoach, and a range of local services.
• Taxi. Luton airport has a dedicated taxi rank area, located just beyond Bus Bay A. Addison Lee and Hackney Carriage are the taxi firms serving the airport. Alternatively, pre-book a taxi and have your ride waiting for you in the Pick Up Zone ( £5 charge for up to 10 minutes) or one of the other pick up parking locations.
