UK Airports Return To Operations After Snow

Airports across the country are recovering from yesterdays heavy snowfall and returning to normal operations.

Gatwick Airport...
Gatwick Airport, which initially closed its runway, is now open and operating a normal service again. Heathrow Airport, likewise, is open and operating at full capacity after yesterday's snowfall led to the cancellation and delay of many short-haul flights.

Stansted Airport was heavily affected by the adverse weather and was forced to close its runway. Though the runway is now open again, passengers are advised to check with their airline for any changes in schedule before leaving for the airport.

Delays...
While airports across the country are now snow free, all passengers are advised to travel with caution. Remember to leave in plenty of time as many roads across the UK are still affected by the conditions. The Highways Agency is urging drivers to check the weather forecast and road conditions before setting out. Allow plenty of time for delays and road problems.
