Birmingham International airport has announced that Paul Kehoe will be the airport's new chief executive officer.
Kehoe currently holds the post of CEO at Bristol airport. During eight years with the airport group TBI he was MD of Luton and Belfast airports and executive director of TBI European airports.
Birmingham International airport chairman, John Hudson, says: "We are delighted to have attracted Paul to Birmingham airport following a very competitive selection process. He brings with him a wealth of airport operating experience and the board looks forward to Pauls leadership during the challenging times ahead.
Commenting on his appointment, Paul Kehoe says: This is a tremendously exciting time to lead the team at Birmingham airport. The developments that are either planned or under way are ambitious and will enable the airport to continue to make a significant contribution to the success of the region.
In June work started on a new £45 million extension to Terminal One at Birmingham airport. The new Pier will be able to accommodate next generation wide bodied aircraft such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner (pictured) and the Airbus A350. Departing passengers will use the top level of the new pier, with arriving passengers on the middle level and office accommodation on the ground floor.
