Blue skies ahead for Exeter

Exeter Airport has launched a magazine aimed at local readers and those planning to visit the South West.

Blue skies ahead for Exeter

Blue Skies will feature UK and overseas destinations served by Exeter airport as well as holiday ideas in the region.

Articles will cover resorts such as Torbay and Tresco and will include information on accommodation and eating out. The first issue takes a look at the BBC series 'Jam and Jerusalem' which was filmed in Devon.

The Airport's Deputy Managing Director, Jamie Christon said, "Blue Skies is the first magazine of this type for the airport and we have already received some wonderful feedback. We wanted to assist with the publicity of local tourism and inform readers of the routes from Exeter because a survey showed that many potential passengers were not familiar with what was on offer. For example very few people were aware that their local airport has had weekly summer flights to Canada for twenty years. We feel that by offering a 'good read' the airport's message will be get to more people that ever."

Over 46,000 copies of Blue Skies will be distributed throughout the local area and around the UK.
