Low fares airline easyJet is launching three new flights from Bristol airport to Biarritz, Olbia and Split this week.

Flights to Biarritz in south west France began on Wednesday and easyJet will offer four flights a week to the chic seaside resort with other departures on Friday, Sunday and Monday. Fares start from £19.99 one way.

Flights to Split in Croatia and Olbia on the island of Sardinia both commence tomorrow (Saturday). easyJet will fly three times a week from Bristol airport to Olbia with fares from £21.99 one way, and twice a week to Split with prices beginning at £23.99 one way.

“The three new easyJet routes provide more exciting options for the South West’s travellers, whether they are looking for a short break or a longer summer holiday. Visitors from the region will be ideally placed to appreciate the attractions of all three destinations. Bristolians will see similarities with Split’s buzzing cultural scene, Olbia’s Roman remains provide an obvious parallel with Bath, while Biarritz, with its fabulous beaches and great surf, will make those from Devon and Cornwall feel at home,” comments head of route development at Bristol airport, Shaun Browne.

Last year Bristol airport welcomed new flights to other popular summer sun destinations including Ibiza, Lisbon, Funchal, Milan and Bordeaux.

Earlier this week easyJet launched new flights from Glasgow airport to Faro in the Algarve. A twice weekly service will increase to three flights a week from 26 June to 28 August, and fares begin at £23.99 one way.

“Forward bookings for the route have been very strong which further proves the demand for direct low-cost flights from Glasgow to the sun," says easyJet UK general manager commercial, David Osborne.
