Emirates to fly A380 Heathrow to Dubai

Airline Emirates will start flying the Airbus A380 superjumbo on flights between Heathrow airport and Dubai from December 1st.
The double decker A380 will be used on daily flights from Heathrow to Dubai, departing at 1.45pm local time and arriving at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 at 12.30am local time the next day. Flights from Dubai to Heathrow on the A380 leave at 7.45am and arrive at Heathrow Terminal 3 at 11.35am local time.
With 489 seats the A380 will give Emirates 40% more capacity on the Heathrow to Dubai service than the Boeing 777 currently being used.
“The A380 is the future of air travel and we’ve invested heavily in an unrivalled range of amenities on board. We’re delighted that we will now be offering this superb aircraft to passengers travelling with us from Heathrow,” says Emirates vice president UK & Ireland, Vic Sheppard.
Emirates is dedicating the whole of the upper deck of the A380 to Premium Class passengers. Towards the front of this deck are 14 Private Suites with 14 massage-equipped lie-flat beds for First Class passengers. The Private Suites have a work desk, electrically controlled mini-bar and advanced in-flight entertainment system.
First Class passengers also have the use of two Shower Spas, with heated floors and leather seating. At the rear of the upper deck they can also enjoy a lounge designed to make them feel like they’re in an executive club.
Business Class passengers get a new generation of ‘intelligent seating’, with all seats having aisle access. Seats in Business Class also convert to a fully-flat bed.
Economy Class passengers benefit from more generous seats, wider aisles and straight rather than the conventionally concave walls which give the impression of more space.
Emirates new A380 is the third to join its fleet. The first two were introduced on flights between Dubai and New York in August and October. In February next year Emirates plans to introduce another A380 on flights between Dubai and Sydney and Auckland.
