New flights to Croatia and Rhodes from Jet2

Low cost airline Jet2.com has announced new summer holiday flights for 2009 to Croatia, Rhodes and Newquay.
Flights to Newquay, the popular surfing resort in Cornwall, will be operated from both Leeds Bradford airport and Belfast airport. Flights begin on May 24th with fares starting from £24.99 one way including taxes.
As well as being the surfing capital of the UK, Newquay is also popular for stag and hen parties and for family holidays. With its excellent beaches and plentiful selection of bars, restaurants and nightclubs, Newquay is an excellent base for exploring the rest of Cornwall.
Belfast airport also gets new flights to Dubrovnik in Croatia from May 2nd next year with fares starting from £56.99 one way including taxes. A fashionable holiday destination before it was ravaged by the Balkan wars, Dubrovnik is now returning to its former glory and popularity.
The Croatian city has lovely beaches, stunning scenery, superb architecture and delicious cuisine. It is also gaining a reputation for its nightlife and becoming a genuine alternative to Ibiza for clubbers.
At the same time it announces new routes for Belfast airport, Jet2 has also decided to axe flights to Barcelona from the city from October 26th. Passengers who have booked flights with the airline to Barcelona will be able to get a refund or change flights to one of the other destinations Jet2 offers from Belfast. These include Alicante, Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza.
Also new for summer 2009 from Jet2 are flights from Manchester airport to the Greek island of Rhodes. Weekly flights start on May 20th with fares from £68.99 one way.
Jet2.com boss Philip Meeson says: “Rhodes is a beautiful island which is hugely popular with holidaymakers from the UK and we expect a huge influx of travellers on our flights – from families and couples after the captivating culture of the island, to the thousands of young people looking to sample the summer party spirit.”
Earlier this year the budget airline launched a new route from Manchester to Sardinia, and significantly increased flights from the airport to Ibiza.
