New Manchester airport flights from bmibaby
Low cost airline bmibaby has announced new flights from Manchester airport to Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon.
bmibaby, which describes itself as “the airline with tiny fares”, will commence flights to Madrid on 16 June with prices starting from £24.99 one way including taxes and charges. Flights will operate on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Madrid is a great choice for a city break with superb shops, cafes, restaurants and culture, plus sporting attractions such as the legendary Real Madrid.
Flights from Manchester to Barcelona, another popular city break destination, will begin on 8 September with fares also starting from £24.99 one way. Flights to Barcelona will operate on the same days as those to Madrid. With the stunning architecture of Antoni Gaudi and landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia, plus the legacy of the Olympic Games and fine beaches, Barcelona has developed a reputation as one of the must-see destinations in Europe.
Passengers flying from Manchester will have the choice of yet another popular city break destination when bmibaby starts flights to Lisbon from 17 June. Flights will operate on Tuesday and Sunday, with fares from £24.99 one way including taxes and charges. The Portuguese capital is popular with those looking for a lively city with plenty of culture and is also close to the historic town of Sintra and the coastal resort of Cascais.
Unlike some other no frills airlines, bmibaby offers allocated seating on all its flights. It also has an online check in service at Manchester, as well as Birmingham airport, East Midlands airport, Edinburgh airport, Glasgow airport, Belfast International and Cardiff airport. The airline offers access to executive airport lounges at Manchester, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Cardiff too.
Earlier this year bmibaby announced new flights from Birmingham airport to Warsaw in Poland starting on 27 May. “The UK Polish community is a modern day phenomena and the new route from Birmingham will provide valuable links for friends and family in Poland and the Midlands region,” says bmibaby commercial director, David Hodge.
