The Gorilla Kingdom at London Zoo is now open for the public to enjoy, this fantastic new enclosure is home to three spectacular Western Lowland gorillas. The kingdom has plenty of indoor space providing shelter for those cold winter months, and also a tremendous outdoor space with tress and ropes for the gorillas to play on.
The enclosure also houses impressive features and surrounding attractions, the sheer volume of the kingdom is certainly a magnificent sight. Encasing the enclosure is an adventure trail where visitors can discover fascinating facts about the Western Lowland gorillas, their natural habitats and the threats facing theses majestic animals. On entering the kingdom visitors walk through an exotic aviary of birds and meet many other stunning animals in the grounds surrounding the enclosure. London Zoo and the Zoological Society of London are working together with conservationists to help protect endangered species such as the Western Lowland gorillas which are classified as endangered. By informing the visitors of the threats posed to such animals, London Zoo is promoting awareness and suggesting ways in which we can all make a difference.
