On the October 26, 2008 the clocks move backwards from British Summer Time to Greenwich Mean Time.
The the clocks go back Saturday night /Sunday morning 25/26 October to Greenwich Mean time at 2am... resulting in one hour extra in bed.
Daylight Saving Time was introduced in 1916, during the First World War, to economise on the use of artificial light. Most countries still keep changing the clocks, with the change of the seasons from Summer to Autumn and from Winter to Spring.
Plan ahead and beat the credit crunch - We offer substantial savings for Winter holiday add-ons like airport parking and airport hotels. It is particularly worthwhile to take advantage of our advance booking rates.
