As the Westward expansion comes into force, London's Congestion Zone has nearly doubled in size. The expansion on the £8 a day toll scheme came into effect on Monday 19th November and now covers most of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea in West London.
Congestion charging was introduced in London in 2003 with Mayor Ken Livingstone hoping that traffic will be reduced by 10% - 15% in the affected zones.
