Jo'burg expects successful 46664 concert

The City of Johannesburg has said that it is ready to host the 46664 HIV/Aids awareness concert this weekend.

The Johannesburg City Council has said that it expects this weekend's 46664 concert to be one of the "safest and most exciting" events it has ever staged.

Taking place on December 1st, World Aids Day, at Ellis Park Stadium, the event is designed to raise awareness of HIV and Aids.

It is expected to attract a capacity crowd of more than 45,000 people, according to stadium manager George Stainton.

He added: "We believe the concert is going to be the best and safest-ever 46664 concert.

"Sales of tickets are going on very well, mainly because of the great line-up of artists that will be performing."

Among the musicians that will be appearing this weekend in Johannesburg are Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Ludacris and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
