Toronto to become a WinterCity
Toronto in Canada will be hosting its WinterCity festival in January and February next year.
The city of Toronto in Canada will stage a seasonal celebration between January 25th and February 7th 2008.
Toronto's WinterCity festival will be held for the fifth time next year and will stage a city-wide celebration of the "incomparable diversity of spirit" of the Canadian metropolis.
A number of events and entertainment options will be on offer to visitors during the festival, including culinary experiences, free concerts and showcases of the local art scene.
Nathan Phillips Square will host outdoor performances and entertainment and feature performances from some of Canada's top musical talents.
Those interested in sampling the culinary culture of Toronto will be able to take advantage of the prix fixe promotion that will be launched across the city, which will involve more than 100 top restaurants.
Toronto, the largest city in Canada and the capital of the province of Ontario, is well known for its impressive city skyline, which includes the iconic CN Tower.
