Christmas operating schedule
The Gatwick Express is a non-stop service that runs from London Victoria to the Gatwick airport that serves more than five million passengers a year.
The service usually runs every 15 minutes from London Victoria, making a convenient alternative to road travel.
With the festive season upon us, we've got our gloved hands on the Christmas operating schedule for the service to ensure that our customers remain in the know.
On Friday December 24 - Christmas Eve 2010
Gatwick Heathrow Express service will be in operation with an early closedown.
No services after 22:00.
On Saturday December 25 - Christmas Day 2010
A replacement coach service will operate with journey time of around one hour.
From London Victoria Station, coaches will depart from Ecclestone Bridge Road entrance to the station: the first coach service leaves Victoria at 06.30 - the service operates every 30 minutes until 16:30 - with a final 16h45 train in operation. From Gatwick Airport, coaches run from the South Terminal Coach station, located on the ground floor of airport terminal. The first coach departs at 06.30 then the service runs every 30 minutes until 17.00hrs.
Boxing Day - Sunday December 26 2010
Gatwick Express trains will operate between London Victoria station and Gatwick Airport every 30 minutes - calling at East Croydon.
From London Victoria Station, the first train service leaves Victoria at 05:30 then running every 30 minutes until 23:30.
Gatwick to Victoria services running from 06h20 until 23h50.
Monday December 27, 2010
There are no dedicated Gatwick Express services and no online bookings are available.
However, there are some early morning services that will still run between Victoria and Gatwick Airport. These services are expected to take 45 minutes.
From Victoria to Gatwick, the services are at 04h30, 05h30, 06h00 and 07h00 with Gatwick to Victoria trains running at 05h37, 06h07, 06h37 and 07h07.
Tuesday December 28, 2010
There are no dedicated Gatwick Express services and no online bookings are available.
However, there are some early morning services that will still run between Victoria and Gatwick Airport. These services are expected to take 45 minutes.
From Victoria to Gatwick services will run at 00h02, 00h32, 03h30, 04h30, 05h30, 06h00 and 07h00.
From Gatwick to Victoria trains will operate at 00h20, 00h55, 01h35, 04h37, 05h37, 06h07, 06h37 and 07h07.
Thursday December 30 2010
Gatwick Express will operate early morning services on Thursday 30 December 2010. Trains will take roughly 45 minutes and will run from Victoria to Gatwick at 00h02, 00h32 and 03h30 and from Gatwick to Victoria at 00h20, 00h55 and 01h35.New Year’s Day, Saturday January 1, 2011
A Sunday level service will operate on Gatwick Express with journey times of 35 minutes. Normal timetable departures remain.
