With Father’s Day fast approaching, a golfing holiday may make the perfect gift for a golf mad dad.
Whether your dad fancies himself as the next Tiger Woods or he needs help perfecting his swing or his putting, La Manga Club in the Murcia region of southern Spain has something for all golf fanatics.
There are three 18 hole championship golf courses with the added benefit of a year round sunny climate and expert golf tuition on hand. La Manga Club has also hosted major golf tournaments including the Spanish Open and Spanish PGA Championship.
Golfers can choose individual golf lessons from the resident professionals or enrol in the Golf Academy. A four day break including a Quick Fix Golf Academy and accommodation at the 5 star Hyatt Regency La Manga arriving on 13th June costs from £882 for two people and includes access to the facilities at the Spa La Manga Club, which include an indoor swimming pool, fitness areas and sauna.
Other options at the Golf Academy include the Total Golf Learning Experience, an Introduction to Golf, and Learn and Play. Individual golf lessons cost £28 for half an hour for one person, or £56 for an hour for up to two people.
La Manga Club is easily accessible by air from the UK with flights into Murcia airport, which is only 30 minutes away. A number of airlines fly direct from the UK to Murcia airport, including bmibaby, easyJet, Flybe, Flyglobespan, Jet2.com and Ryanair. Alternatively you can take a flight to Alicante airport which is only around an hour from La Manga Club.
