After 10 years of Flying Without Fear courses, Virgin Atlantic has launched a new book answering the questions of nervous flyers.

The new book – “101 of your questions answered” – contains answers to common questions about flying, plus valuable information from a cabin crew safety trainer, top tips from aviation experts, and psychological tools to help people combat their fear of flying.

Flying Without Fear courses were started in 1997 by Virgin Atlantic cabin crew member, Paul Tizzard. Nervous flyer Richard Conway contacted him for a tailored course and together they decided to set up a new company, Flying Without Fear Ltd.

"People have been asking us for many years when we're going to write a book to help those who can't attend our courses. Many people who need our help live abroad and without being able to fly over to us, can't visit for the help that they need in order to overcome their fears of flying - with our brand new book, we'll be able to 'virtually' go to them," explains Conway.

“It is great news that we can offer members of the public the benefits of advice from a wonderful team of experts who run the hugely successful Flying Without Fear course, with a book on how to cope with their fear,” comments Virgin Atlantic president, Sir Richard Branson.

The new book is available from www.amazon.co.uk and www.flyingwithoutfear.info. Flying Without Fear offers one day courses from various UK airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Luton, Newcastle, Southampton, Leeds Bradford, Bournemouth, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The course includes an optional 45-minute flight at the end of the session.
