Regional airline signs e ticket deal

[21st July 2008]

Regional airline Flybe has shown its commitment to interline e ticketing with a new partnership with Hahn Air.

The deal brings the total of Flybe's interline e ticket partners to 14, which it claims is unique among low cost airlines. The list includes airlines such as British Airways, Emirates, Cathay Pacific and Singapore. Flybe says it is now working on more new projects.

“Our continued pursuit and implementation of interline e ticket projects endorses Flybe’s commitment to both our fellow airline partners and the service we offer to our customers. Passengers can enjoy the ease of travelling on an interline ticket with their bags being checked through to their final destination, making their transit through a Flybe hub a great experience," comments Flybe head of sales, Stephen Hobday.

“Our latest project with Hahn Air is not only a particularly exciting and important additional distribution channel for Flybe but, with an interline capability with numerous airlines, Flybe has become bookable virtually worldwide, exposing the Flybe brand and product to a truly global audience,” Hobday continues.

Hahn Air director of sales and marketing, Anja Radloff, adds: “Our newly established interline agreement with Flybe will benefit over 60,000 IATA travel agents. It opens up dozens of new markets for Flybe and will increase their BSP presence on a global scale. Travel agents in almost 100 countries can now use HR/169 e-tickets to issue Flybe’s flights.”
