Les Misérables team do it again

Marguerite

Marguerite, an all new musical extravaganza brought to the stage by the makers of Les Misérables is now showing at the prestigious Theatre Royal Haymarket.

An updated version of Dumas' classic love story La Dame aux Camélias, the story is set in occupied France and focusses on Marguerite, the beautiful yet notorious mistress of a high ranking Nazi officer. Marguerite's life is thrown into turmoil when a young musician involved in the French resistance falls obsessively in love with her.

A collaboration between Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schonberg (Les Misérables, Miss Saigon and Martin Guerre) three time Oscar winning musical luminary, Michel Legrand (Summer of '42, Windmills of Your Mind and Yentl) and Les Misérables lyricist Herbert Kretzmer Marguerite has an impeccable theatrical pedigree which shines through in the shows superb songs. From future classic "Jazz Time" to the darkly atmospheric "Intoxication", Marguerite provides one of the most moving soundtracks of recent times.

With the accomplished Ruthie Henshall in the title role and rave reviews pouring in from the national press, Marguerite is set to become the smash hit of the summer, book early to avoid disappointment.
