April 2008
Currently playing at the Noël Coward theatre, the hilarious Avenue Q has extended its booking period to 25 April 2009.
Avenue Q opened on the West End on June 28th 2006 and has since proved enormously popular with critics and audiences alike. Whilst it is certainly not one for the whole family, Avenue Q is a guaranteed night of hilarity and amusement. With a porn-addicted puppet called Trekkie Monster and songs such as "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist," "If You Were Gay" and "I'm Not Wearing Underwear Today," leaves audiences, as producer Cameron Mackintosh puts it, "laughing their heads off at what is a truly original musical."
The cast currently includes Daniel Boys as Princeton and Rod, Mark Goldthorp as Trekkie Monster and Nicky, Rebecca Lock as Kate Monster and Lucy The Slut, Christopher Fry as Brian, Mary Doherty as Mrs Thisltetwat and Delroy Atkinson as Gary Coleman.
