Bond Exhibition comes to the Imperial War Museum

Bond exhibition with a difference

James Bond Exhibition

On 17th April, the Imperial War Museum opens its doors to Bond fans up and down the country in celebration of Ian Flemming's centenary. The museum will offer fans an alternative view of the MI6 agent's life in relation to the Cold War and post-war Britain. Were Fleming's stories merely figments of his imagination or were they designed to reflect life during these times? These questions and more will be answered in the James Bond Exhibition which will run for the next year.

The museum plans to display a lot of material from the films, including annotated notes, bloodstained clothes worn by various bonds, and the legendary Colt Python .357 Magnum, which was presented to Fleming in 1964 by the colt company.

The attraction also coincides with filming of the 22nd instalment of the Bond series. Daniel Craig is set to star in his second consecutive Bond movie which is eagerly awaited by all. Casino Royale (Craig's first appearance) broke all box office records for a Bond Movie as viewers saw the first of Fleming's books made into a feature-length film. Quantum of Solace is the title of the latest movie which sees the hero pursue a double crossing ex-lover across the globe. The film is released in cinemas up and down the country in October of this year.
