Desperately Seeking Susan

The hit film Desperately Seeking Susan was a huge success when it hit the screens in 1985 and its hoped that the winning formula will continue when a musical adaptation hits the West End in November.

Opening at the Novello Theatre on November 15th, Desperately Seeking Susan will feature the hit music of Blondie for a true sense of 80's nostalgia. Along with well known hits including Heart of Glass, Heart of Glass, Atomic, The Tide Is High, Sunday Girl, Dreaming and Hanging On The Telephone, the musical will also feature a new song written by Deborah Harry especially for the show - Moment of Truth.

The musical will star Kelly Price as Roberta Glass and Emma Williams as Susan - the role played by Madonna in the film. Roberta Glass is a bored New Jersey housewife who seeks escape from her humdrum life by reading the personal ads placed by street smart New Yorker Susan and her boyfriend Jay. Roberta wants to be Susan, Susan is wanted by the mob. When a bizarre twist of fate causes the two to swap lives what follows is a wild ride of rock 'n' roll, jewel heists and magic shows.

Desperately Seeking Susan promises to be an entertaining musical that will have you singing all the way home. Be sure to check back with details on how to get your tickets with us at a great low price. For all West End theatre news and deals, make it easy going - make it Holiday Extras.
