As theatre audiences prepare for the opening night of Gone With The Wind keen eyed musical lovers would do well to tune into TCM for a documentary on the making of the West End production.

Gone With The Wind - The Making of the Musical will hit the small screen on the satellite channel on April 20th, two days before the West End show's premier on April 22. The documentary will see the TCM camera crew shadow members of the cast and crew in the run-up to opening night at the New London Theatre.

The West End musical is directed by Trevor Nunn and stars Darius Danesh as Rhett Buttler and Jill Paice as Scarlett O'Hara. The documentary follows a similar piece by the Discovery Channel which showed the preparations and work behind The Lord of the Rings.

If, frankly, you do give a damn, be sure to tune in to TCM on April 20th to catch what promises to be a revealing and fascinating insight into the world of theatre. A follow up show is already being planned and will include footage from opening night.
