The new West End revival of Grease has announced a massive cast change that will take effect from June 16th at the Piccadilly Theatre.

Taking over in the role of Doody, Ray Qiunn will be making his West End debut. After making many appearances on Brookside as a child, Quinn became known to television audiences following his appearance on X-Factor reaching the 2006 final and facing off against show winner Leona Lewis. Ray Quinn will play the part of T-Bird Doody until 15 November 2008.

Danny Boyle, winner of Grease Is The Word will continue in the lead role of Danny while fellow winner Susan McFadden will be leaving the cast. The role of Sandy will be taken over by Nicola Brazil. Nicola Brazil made her West End debut in 2007, joining the cast of Wicked with this being her first lead role in London.

Joining the cast from 16 June will be Stuart Ramsay as Kenickie, Natalie Langston as Rizzo, Kristofer Harding as Roger, Emily Bull as Frenchy, Laura Wilson as Jan, Emma Stephens as Marty, Benjamin Ibbott as Eugene, Emma Green as Patty, Chloe Brooks as Miss Lynch and Kristina Macmillan as Cha Cha. Jason Capewell continues in his role as Vince/Teen Angel as does Bennett Andrews as Sonny.

Grease is arguably one of the world's most popular musicals and first took to the stage in America in 1972. The up-coming West End production is based on the previous 1990's production that ran in London for more than 6 years before embarking on national and international tours.
