Jersey Boys Extends Booking Period

jersey boys

Following previews from 28th February, Jersey Boys opened in London's West End on 18th March 2008 and has now extended its booking period by six months. Tickets will now be on sale until 25 April 2009.

Jersey Boys first opened on Broadway in 2005 and won the Best Musical Tony Award the following year with music by Bob Gaudio who describes the show as "a drama with music as opposed to a musical, because I think the story is so strong."

The production charts three decades from the 1950-7s in the life of the Four Seasons, four blue-collered boys whose sound - characterised by the falsetto of Frankie Valli - resulted in a staggering array of US and UK hits including Big Girls Don't Cry, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, Bye Bye Baby, December 1963 (Oh What A Night) and Can't Take My Eyes Off You and the musical features many of the groups hits. The musical charts the group's rise to international renown as musicians along with their involvement with crime, gambling and links with the Mafia.
