Lee Mead to wear the Technicolor Coat for longer

Lee Mead, winner of Any Dream Will Do, will continue to wear his Technicolor Dreamcoat for longer as the West End show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has extended its booking period. The production will now be booking until 10th January 2009 at the Adelphi Theatre.

This West End musical is a revival of the hit production that played at the London Palladium in the 1990's. The current incarnation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice show stars Lee Mead in the role of Joseph. Mead gained the Technicolor Dreamcoat after winning the BBC talent search Any Dream Will Do having previously understudied roles in The Phantom of The Opera, Miss Saigon and Tommy along with playing the roles of Pharaoh and Brother Levi in a touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a colourful biblical tale of Jacob and his 12 sons. Joseph is Jacob's favourite son and is soon the victim to the all consuming jealousy of his brothers as they leave him for dead in the desert, thus beginning a long journey for Joseph that eventually leads him to the court of the Egyptian Pharoh.
