New Valjean in Les Misérables

Hugely successful and now in its 22nd year in London, Les Misérables has announced a change in casting for the role of Valjean.

From October 22nd the role of Valejean will be taken over by Drew Sarich, currently playing the role in the Broadway production of the show. Sarich's over theatre experience includes Lestat on Broadway with performances in New York shows Jaques Brel and Tony n' Tina's Wedding, he also originated the role of Quasimodo in the Disney stage production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame in Berlin.

Drew Sarich also began his singing career in 2000 with the release of his first album "Say It!" His new band International Victim have just completed work on their debut album "I.V" for Soul-Made Productions. Current Valjean John Owen-Jones will also cross the Atlantic with his performance, making his Broadway debut with the role on October 23rd.

This long running, hugely popular musical first hit the London stageon October 8th 1985. Set in the Parisian underground during the French revolution, Les Misérables is produced by Cameron Mackintosh. The musical has been seen by more than 54 million people across 38 different countries and translated into 21 different languages.
